Maths and Science Tutor
I can provide support and tutoring for students of all abilities, whether you are looking to attain that crucial C grade or to aim for an A* or just to improve your abilities and to get the best grade for you. I currently cover AQA and Edexcel boards but am happy to work to other syllabuses.
I can take the student through the entire two year course, tracking and supporting the topics as they are covered by the school and ensuring that the student has a full understanding of the maths before they move on to the next topic. Or I can help nearer the exam period with practising on past exam papers to improve exam technique and work on any areas which need improving. I keep track of any developments in exam syllabuses to ensure that every student is well prepared for current exam content and styles.
GCSE

IGCSE
For students wishing to take their physics to a higher level I can provide tuition through to AS. I aim to ensure that students understand the meaning of the physics they are studying further facilitating their ability to tackle problems.
I can also support those whose maths may need sharpening up to deal with the physics theories. I have a wide range of past papers and texts to work from and can coach students throughout their entire course or just provide extra support near exam time
AS Level
For those students taking physics right through to A2 level I offer tuition for the AQA syllabus covered by local schools, although having an extensive physics background I am happy to consider other courses and boards. I also aim to ensure that students are fully adept at the maths principles and techniques needed at this level of physics.
At A level students are also learning how to think as physicists and how to approach problems from a scientific view point, hence I encourage students to think their way through the topics and practice/exam questions to understand fully the subjects and it’s implications. I have a wide range of past papers and texts to work from and can coach students throughout their entire course or just provide extra support near exam time
